A 3-week advanced program designed for high school-age actors who wish to take the next step in their actor training. Classes may include: Ensemble building, Voice Work, Movement, Clown, Stage Fight, Acting At the conclusion of the program, students perform scenes from a number of Shakespeare’s plays.
Extended Days run from 3:00-5:00 pm in the same location where your student's Riotous Youth day is held.
Generally, every Extended Day will begin with time for a snack, a rest, and a recharge. Then, we will move into about an hour’s worth of unique programming: these structured lessons might feature a stage combat or movement workshop, an interactive look at a significant moment in theatre history, theater games, design workshops, and art afternoons. We will reserve some time at the ends of our Extended Days for periods of free choice: students may continue exploring the afternoon’s lesson, read or draw, chat with their friends, or even receive help with learning their lines for their Riotous Youth scenes and monologues.
A student can be signed up for one day, or the entire session. Students must be enrolled in
the Riotous Youth Program to attend. Extended Day does not take place on Riotous Youth Performance days.
Hours*: Monday - Friday, 3:00pm-5:00pm.
Cost: $25 per day/per student
*Please note, for sessions that take place at Lenox High School, we are unable to offer an Extended Day on Mondays.

"Riotous Youth is one of the best summer camps in the region. My kids love 'the awesome teachers who make it really fun and include everyone'. As a parent, I love that they teach the kids to really understand the Shakespeare play performed, and perhaps most importantly, I love seeing the clear confidence boost my kids gain by the end of camp." -Riotous Youth Parent, Summer 2017
