The Tempest

"Nigel Gore is a force of nature..." —The Boston Globe

"This production of The Tempest is a knockout." —Berkshire on Stage

"Under Allyn Burrows's confident direction, the play brims with spellbinding performances and memorable stagecraft that makes The Tempest a must-see in the Berkshires this summer." THEATERMANIA

“Be not afeard, the isle is full of noises...” —Act 3, Scene 2

Likely the Bard’s final piece that he penned alone, The Tempest sets the stage for a betrayed magician bent on revenge. Prospero’s seething softens when he sees through his daughter that love and forgiveness conquer darkness. Revel in outdoor performances in The Roman Garden Theatre under the Berkshire summer skies as the cast leads you on this magical and moving journey.

Come delight in the thrill of a professional Shakespeare production in the open air. Beer and wine are available.

Generously sponsored by The Dr. Gerald and Roberta Friedman Foundation.

RAIN PLAN: In case of rain, the show will be performed in the tented Rose Footprint Theatre.
