Twelfth Night (at The Mount)

**This production is at The Mount, Edith Wharton's Home, located at 2 Plunkett Street, at the corner of Route 7 in Lenox, just a short distance from Shakespeare & Company. Bring chairs or blankets, and a picnic; grounds open 90 minutes before each performance. Chairs are available for rent for a fee of $2 per chair.

Outdoors, fresh, and fast-paced, Shakespeare’s rebellious comedy catapults audiences into a world of illusion, debauchery and mayhem. Amidst the forest and foliage, audiences are transported to the mythical land of Illyria—alongside the recently shipwrecked and lovelorn Viola. This 90-minute frolic unravels a madcap mix-up of characters and offers a reunion of epic proportions.

*Shakespeare in American Communities brings professional productions of Shakespeare and related educational activities to communities throughout the country. This year 40 theatre companies in 25 states and D.C. will conduct symposia, workshops, educational programs and performances like this one in local middle and high schools.

Generously sponsored by Natalie and Howard Shawn
