Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley

(Lenox, MA) – Shakespeare & Company announces casting for Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley, written by Lauren Gunderson and Margot Melcon, and directed by longtime Company member and Producing Associate Ariel Bock. This funny, warm-hearted holiday story, will have a special limited run from December 15 - 17 in the Elayne P. Bernstein Theatre. The show will feature Company actors Kate Abbruzzese, Lydia Barnett-Mulligan, David Joseph, Zoë Laiz, and Ryan Winkles.

"We are delighted to revisit the characters of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice with Lauren Gunderson and Margot Melcon's Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberly," said Artistic Director Allyn Burrows. "While this wonderfully entertaining story is a warm welcome to the holidays, it poses some very substantive questions about choices and personal freedoms that should elicit some lively discussion in the crisp winter air!"

The Company's family-friendly holiday performance will be a costumed staged reading. Tickets for Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley are general admission, $22 for Adults and $12 for Students. They are now available online at, or by calling Shakespeare & Company’s box office at (413) 637-3353. The Elayne P. Bernstein Theatre is wheelchair accessible.
