In this fast-paced, costumed, stage reading, all of the wit and romance of Jane Austen's classic 1813 novel come delightfully to life. Finding a husband is hardly Elizabeth Bennet's most urgent priority. But with four sisters, an overzealous match-making mother, and a string of unsuitable suitors, it's difficult to escape the subject. When the independent-minded Elizabeth meets the handsome but enigmatic Mr. Darcy, she is determined not to let her feelings triumph over her own good sense — but the truth turns out to be slipperier than it seems. In a society where subtle snubs and deceit proliferate, is it possible for Elizabeth and Darcy to look beyond his pride and her prejudice, and to make the best match of all?

Artistic Director, Manager of Institutional Giving, and a member of Shakespeare & Company since 1979, Ariel has performed in many productions, directed and taught in the Education Program, has been a faculty member at workshops and produced over 11 successful S&Co seasons as an Artistic more(Director) thirty-second season with S&Co. Artistic Director, Manager of Institutional Giving, and a member of Shakespeare & Company since 1979, Ariel has performed in many productions, directed and taught in the Education Program, has been a faculty member at workshops and produced over 11 successful S&Co seasons as an Artistic Associate. Ariel played Mistress Quickly in 2014’s Henry IV, pts. 1 & 2. Locally she has acted with The Wharton Salon and Mixed Company. For The Ensemble for the Romantic Century, she most recently played Nadezhda VonMeck in None But the Lonely Heart. Ariel is a Designated Linklater Voice Teacher. She is married to actor Jonathan Epstein and has three sons.
