2010 Performance Season
Shakespeare and the Language that Shaped a Worldwritten by Kevin G. Coleman
directed by Jenna Ware
Elayne P. Bernstein Theatre April 2 - April 23 1:00 pm

This whirlwind tour through the life, times and work of William Shakespeare features six Shakespeare & Company actors, about a truck load of historical information and scenes from many of his greatest plays. It's a fast-paced, fun and hilarious presentation introducing kids and adults to Shakespeare through his stories, characters, and words—with a bit of sword-fighting and clowning thrown in for good measure.
Shakespeare and the Language that Shaped a World will tour Middle and Elementary schools throughout the northeast in the early spring of 2011. It lit up the Elayne P. Bernstein Theatre for a successful run last spring, and now returns again for a series of special Saturday presentations as well as during the Spring break. Each one is followed by a free, interactive workshop based on one of Shakespeare's plays, open to all. (Previous workshops were inspired by A Midsummer Night's Dream and Romeo and Juliet).
Saturdays @ 1pm from April 2–23, 2011
PLUS April Vacation Week
Followed by a hands-on workshop with the actors, open to everyone! |
