About Auditions at Shakespeare & CompanyIf you would like to apply for an audition slot for our acting company, please send a current photo and resume to:Attention Casting 70 Kemble St Lenox, MA 01240 Please be sure that your resume includes your current e-mail address and phone number, and the names of directors with whom you have worked, as well as the theatres where you have performed. If you have worked with Shakespeare & Company directors or teachers, please include a cover letter summarizing that experience. We will notify you if you are invited to audition. Shakespeare & Company also holds annual Equity Principal Auditions both in Lenox and New York, and dates for those will be posted both on our website (on this page) and the AEA website. In addition, Shakespeare & Company has a variety of training workshops throughout the year for professional actors at all stages of their careers; if you are interested in Shakespeare training, click here for more details. Shakespeare & Company operates on an Actors' Equity Association Letter of Agreement. Our contracts range between 2 and 6 months (April-October). Shakespeare & Company produces several plays in repertory in three venues. Company members often perform in more than one production, and may be responsible for understudying, as well. Please be advised that non-U.S. citizens must have prior permission to accept employment in the U.S. in order to be considered for an audition slot for our acting company. We are not able to sponsor foreign nationals for employment visas. (This condition does not apply to those interested in Shakespeare & Company's training programs.) |
