Getting there

Our campus offers paved, on-site parking lots adjacent to each of our individual theaters with accessible parking for your convenience. Please follow the signs located at the roundabout on our campus to reach the theater you are visiting.

Shows

With so many wonderful performance choices on the campus, show run times vary. Approximate run times are available on our website prior to the first preview performance, and finalized once a show opens. Please call the Box Office at (413) 637-3353 for updated information, or visit the Shows page on our website.
We make every effort to start our performances on time, but if you are late, please know that we will also make every effort to seat you. Due to the intimacy of our theaters and for the safety of the actors, it may not be possible to seat you in the seats that you’ve purchased for Act I, and you may be asked to wait for a specific time in the performance to enter the theater with an usher. Shakespeare & Company offers free parking on-site, and encourages patrons to allow at least 10 minutes after arrival on campus to find their way to their seats.
Occasionally, the weather may affect your enjoyment of the performance outdoors at The Arthur S. Waldstein Amphitheatre or The Roman Garden Theatre. Most often the show will go on and, depending on the severity of the rain, will be performed as scheduled. If the weather may cause a safety risk for you, the performers, or the staff, the performance will be canceled. Refunds are not available for performances carried out during inclement weather. In the event of cancellation, the Box Office will email a link to a Google Form with the option to exchange for another performance, retain credit for a future performance, or process tickets as a charitable donation.

All our theaters (Tina Packer Playhouse, Elayne P. Bernstein Theatre, Roman Garden Theatre, and Arthur S. Waldstein Amphitheatre) are accessible. Please park in our accessible spaces adjacent to each theater and, If possible, notify the Box Office prior to your arrival so that we may assist you during your visit. Some of our outdoor theaters have gravel and/or grass pathways, as opposed to paved. Golf cart service is available during outdoor performances to and from the theater and concessions, restroom, and lobby areas.

While we encourage our patrons to enjoy our beautiful campus and to bring their own food and drinks before performances, we ask that you only bring bottled water or drinks with a lid into the theaters. Drinks at our on-site concessions stands, including wine, beer, and cocktails, are served in reusable, souvenir cups with lids.
Our concessions stands offer sandwiches, snacks, and dessert items, in addition to beer, wine, and a selection of signature cocktails. There are also many award-winning restaurants in downtown Lenox, the neighboring Town of Lee, and the City of Pittsfield. Some restaurants close early in the Berkshires, so it’s always a good idea to call the restaurants ahead if you’re interested in a late-night meal.
Yes! We have a beautiful, 33-acre campus that includes tented space and picnic tables, just outside the Tina Packer Playhouse overlooking the Rose Footprint Theatre. Just outside the Elayne P. Bernstein Theatre, there are also tables with umbrellas just outside the Jane Iredale Lobby.

Both the Elayne P. Bernstein Theatre and the Tina Packer Playhouse are indoor, climate- controlled spaces – casual attire and a removable jacket or sweater are recommended. The Arthur S. Waldstein Amphitheatre, Roman Garden Theatre, and Rose Footprint Theatre are all outdoors. We recommend bringing a light jacket or sweater, sunglasses or a hat, and perhaps sunscreen and bug spray. We also keep a limited number of blankets on-hand that can be accessed by speaking to the House Manager, and typically keep an array of outdoor-theater necessities in stock at our Gift Shop.

Our facilities are perfect for hosting a night at the theater! We’d love to help you celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, and holiday parties. Please visit the Bring a Group page for more information on group sales and rentals.

Whether you are coming from near or far, we are easy to find in Lenox, Mass. Please take a look at our Directions page for more information.
