Reaching beyond the Berkshires/Massachusetts region, Shakespeare & Company shares the techniques developed in the Education Program with classroom teachers across the country through these programs for teachers and teaching artists, which introduce educators to Shakespeare & Company’s methods for creating dynamic, engaging experiences of Shakespeare in the classroom.
National Institute on Teaching Shakespeare
Our four-week Institute brings classroom teachers from across the nation together with Shakespeare & Company master teachers, international scholars, professional directors, and actors. Funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities, this institute is offered when the grant is available. Shakespeare & Company has offered this institute twelve times in the past.

Giving educators the tools to make Shakespeare’s plays come alive, these workshops introduce Shakespeare & Company’s rationale and strategies for creating dynamic, engaging experiences of Shakespeare for high school students.
