A stellar box office report from our 2010-11 Season

Artistic Director is pleased to announce the successful close of Shakespeare & Company’s 2010/2011 season with a substantial 16.7% increase in ticket earnings over our 2009/2010 box office figures.

“I am extremely proud of the entire Company for its dedication and hard work during our 2010/2011 Season,” says Simotes. “This has been a team effort, not only from our artistic and administrative staff, but also from our Board of Trustees, our Board of Overseers, and other key supporters. This past year has been extremely successful for us, and has enabled us to remain in good financial standing and report a healthy increase over last year. This past season literally put us in the black, which is almost unheard of for non-profits these days. As we open Founding Artistic Director Tina Packer’s critically-acclaimed Women of Will, The Complete Journey: Parts I-V and begin rehearsals for all of our other summer 2011 offerings, I’m hopeful that another fabulous season is already underway for S&Co.”
