Announcing our 2011-12 Season!

After a hugely successful 33rd season, we’re proud to announce our line-up for 2011-12—which will feature several veteran S&Co. actors and directors, including Jason Asprey, Elizabeth Aspenlieder, Kevin G. Coleman, Jonathan Croy, Jonathan Epstein, Nigel Gore, Malcolm Ingram, Dennis Krausnick, Corinna May, Annette Miller, , Daniela Varon and Kristin Wold who will join the Company’s roster of talented artists celebrating our 34th Season.

In addition to the productions below—three Shakespeare titles, Tina Packer’s full five-part Women of Will: The Complete Journey, and a couple of returning favorites—our 2011-12 Season as always will include our Bankside Festival on the Rose Footprint Theatre, Behind-the-Scenes Tours, Talks and Q&A’s and other special events soon to be announced.

Tickets for the 2011-12 Season will go on sale on or around January 5, 2011.

“Santaland” Star Peter Davenport delivers “a bravura performance”

santalandsco10kspra_254-sized_ The Santaland Diaries‘ delightful little elf Crumpet is making spirits bright and earning rave reviews all the way. Two more cropped up this weekend:

The Albany Times-Union calls it “a beautifully staged, terrifically acted piece of holiday entertainment that’s familiar and still fresh,” praising for delivering “a bravura performance”.

Berkshire Living adds, “Davenport is wonderful…a skilled storyteller. Davenport doesn’t give us a squeaky-voiced, chipper ‘elf’ but a very real man at a difficult time in his life…in a way that is funny, sharp, certainly sarcastic, but without bitterness.”

The Santaland Diaries plays just ten more performances in the intimate Bernstein Theatre, so get your tickets now before Crumpet heads back to the North Pole for good!

Reviews for The Santaland Diaries, which opened this past weekend, are beginning to come in—and boy do they twinkle!
