The high-spirited cast of the 2008 New England Tour of Shakespeare: A Midsummer Night’s Dream, will play their final performance in Founders’ Theatre on May 9th, 2008 at 7:00pm. The performance will be followed by a gala celebration to honor the talented and energetic touring cast. It’s the perfect way to light up a May night!

Bernstein Performance and Production Arts Center.
The man in charge of seeing that it all happens, on time and on budget, is managing director Nicholas J. Puma, Jr. “I’m like Conan the Barbarian in the Room of Mirrors; that’s how I feel over there,” he says.

Last night’s first annual William Shakespeare birthday celebration—The Will444 Bash—was a rousing success! The first performance in Founders’ Theatre since last winter, All Things Will really shook out the dust, kick-starting our 2008-2009 Season in great style.
The show featured performances from Shakespeare & Company members, including scenes from the upcoming Goatwoman of Corvis County and Bad Dates. And Albany band Citizen Genet rocked the house with their rendition of “Willow” from Othello. Check out their performance in the video below.

Shakespeare and Company’s one-of-a-kind Shakespeare in the Courts program was recently featured on Capital News 9. The program, now in its eighth year, is a collaboration with the Berkshire Juvenile Court. During the project, adjudicated juvenile offenders explore Shakespeare’s text and prepare their own performance piece as part of the terms of their probation.
